Sawdust Burners
Rotary dryers can use oil or sawdust to provide the necessary heat for drying. Sawdust burners are fed from a KE feed system which meters the sawdust feed to the burner.
Sawdust is accumulated in a Hopper Feed Conveyor containing approximately 4 tons.If the burning rate is .075 tons per hour the hopper will need refilling every 5 hours.
Plants which can separate approximately 20% of dust and fines from the dried shavings can be self sufficient in sawdust supply.
